Welcome to Week 2

You've made it through the hardest part: starting. By now you should have a week of daily practice under your belt (or close to it). This week we expand the practice.

This Week's Mantra

"Difficult things can be done with ease."

When I tell you "difficult things can be done with ease," how do you feel about that? Not what you think about it. How does it land in your body?

I demonstrated this with juggling. I'm not great at it. I drop the balls. But I pick them up calmly and try again. Compare that with throwing the ball in frustration: same task, same failure, different heart. We spend a lot of time doing difficult things with a lot of pressure, with a lot of stress. I am asking you to relax into it.

Your Reading

This week, add these to your reading:

Week 2 Daily Quests

Starting this week, your daily quests expand to 5:

  1. Daily Heart Sharing
Read the mantra, notice the feelings, share what comes up.
  2. POST a Helpful Writing
Write a helpful post to a community of your choice and crosspost it to your Reddit profile.
  3. Heart-Based Writing
Open your heart 3 times. 4 paragraphs minimum.
  4. Micropost
Share something publicly. Anything. It can be one sentence. It can be about boba.
  5. Branch Out
Take something from your Reddit practice and share it on a different platform (Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, wherever your audience might live).

The two new quests (Micropost and Branch Out) come from the Three Skill System. Reddit becomes a way for you to get content and it becomes a way for you to help other people in other communities.

The On/Off Relationship

One of the most universal patterns I see: people love being "on" once they're doing the work, but the transition from off to on feels monumental. What you will find is that you unconsciously really like not doing anything and you unconsciously really don't like doing something. That is a hurdle. That's a relationship you really have to understand.

It's not actually this massive shift. But something in your unconscious is making it feel that way. Examine that.
