The Presents board

Here is how the first cohort worked, in December 2022. Everyone said out loud what they wanted to buy. Everyone could see everyone else's. And at the end of the month you either had the receipt or you didn't. That was the whole accountability system, and it worked better than any spreadsheet I have built since.

So: declare it here. Pick the thing, put a price and a date on it, and leave it where the room can see it. Move it along as you go: declared, stream built, bought. When you buy it, write what you bought it with and how it felt to spend it. The receipt is the proof. Not the plan, not the table; the receipt.

The stream that pays for it is built in The Present: a month. The present gets bought with stream money, not reservoir money.
