Discrete vs. Continuous
Notes from a call; to be expanded. This is a two-word entry in the original curriculum, so I am not going to pretend it is a doctrine yet.
What I remember of the point: some things in a business happen in discrete units (a launch, a sale, a session, a post) and some things are continuous (the writing practice, the list growing, the relationship with the people who follow you). The mistake I was pointing at on the call is treating one like the other: waiting for a discrete event to fix a continuous problem, or expecting a continuous practice to produce a discrete result on a specific day. That is as far as I want to take it in writing until I have taught it again and heard how it lands. If you were on that call, write what you took from it below and I will use it when I expand this.
