Chain / Combination Marketing

In martial arts a single move rarely lands on its own. You set it up: one move opens the space for the next. Marketing is the same. The concepts you have learned (hooks, stories, offers, freebies) are moves, and they work best in combinations.

Use the narrative lego

You already have the pieces: your story, the suffering you resolve, the path, the entryway, the offer. Combination marketing is snapping them together in different orders for different people. A story that leads to a freebie. A freebie that leads to a question. A question that leads to the offer. Same pieces, different chains.

The longer the path, the more you lose

Every step between "I saw this" and "I bought this" loses people. That is not a reason to have no steps; it is a reason to know how many you have and to keep them few. For a paid program, aim for a one or two step buying process. For a freebie, a one or two step action. If you are asking for five clicks, most people will give you two.

Which means: start with a strong hook

Because you lose people at every step, the first step has to catch a lot of them. That is the hook. The whole chain is built backward from it: decide what the buying process is (one or two steps), then build up to a hook strong enough to push people through it. Weak hook, long path: nobody arrives. Strong hook, short path: they do.
